                                                                     Mission:

 

·                    Provide oversight responsibilities for the Board’s business activities designed to promote fiscal and administrative guidance for all workforce expenditures

 

·                    Provide management responsibilities including personnel, travel, special or called meetings, and Board meeting schedules. 

 

C                     Provide oversight responsibilities for program performance issues.

 

C                     Provide guidance on development of workforce training plans.

 

C                     Oversee the development of effective, innovative, strategies, policies and initiatives designed to facilitate the entry and re-entry of customers into high skilled and high wage employment opportunities preferably in the local labor market and consistent with the requirements of workforce consolidation legislation.

 

                                                                       Purpose:

 

C                     Review and evaluate program performance for:

C                     Performance standards;

C                     Program outcomes;

C                     Cost categories/limitations;

C                     Return on investment;

C                     Increased employment and earnings of customers; and

C                     Reduction in welfare dependency.

 

C                     Provide oversight responsibilities to include review of Texas Workforce Commission and Workforce Area monitoring reports.

 

C                     Establish and review competencies.

 

C                     Review and evaluate program performance, outcomes, and strategies.
